The difference of eternal seeds in the game Hytale from other crops is that you can plant the seed once and keep harvesting crops, while the "root" remains in the ground and continues to grow. You can recognize eternal seed crops by their special neon green glow. To move the crops, you need to break the plant or the block it is placed on. Usually many of them can be found near marble stone. After that, a seed bag will appear in your inventory. You can obtain eternal seeds in two ways. The first method does not take much time or effort, you just need to farm often by harvesting wheat or vegetables. When harvesting, there is a small chance to get eternal seeds of the crop you broke.
The next method is less random and obtaining seeds is done through crafting. After restoring the Orb Heart in the Forgotten Temple, the player unlocks blueprints for the Farmer Workbench. To craft eternal seeds on it, you will need the following resources:
- Common vegetable
- Common seeds
- item "Life Essence"
Depending on the Memories you have collected and the level of the workbench, the amount and types of resources required for crafting will change.
- If you have from 10 to 24 Memories and a level 2 workbench, you will need:
- Wheat or lettuce and 20 items of "Life Essence".
- From 25 to 49 Memories and a level 3-4 workbench, you will need:
- Carrot, Cauliflower, Turnip and Corn and 30-50 Essences
- From 50 to 99 Memories and a level 5-6 workbench, you will need:
- Eggplant, Pumpkin, Tomato and Chili and 60 Essences
- From 100 Memories and a level 7 workbench, you will need:
- Cotton and Rice and 80 Essences
When using farming mechanics, keep in mind that there are many plants in the game and not all of them can be turned into Eternal Seeds, for example tree saplings and rare species.
