If you have already made it into the game after endless game loading screens, the first thing you need to do is choose a resource source. In Hytale , this role is played by quarries in the Emerald Grove, also known as Location 1. At first glance, these areas stand out with beautiful white columns across a vast territory. Focus on the dark gray mountain ridges to reach the desired location.

In the quarries, you will often encounter two similar minerals that are easy to confuse:

  • Chalk has a pure white color and pale veins
  • Marble is slightly grayer than chalk and features a distinct surface pattern

If you mine this stone with a pickaxe, marble stone will be added to your inventory. Use it to build impressive structures, but be sure to process the raw material first. You can use a furnace by loading it with fuel and stone. However, this method is very inefficient, as it consumes resources and produces only one block for every two units of stone!

The best option is to use the builder’s workbench:

  • Open the workbench interface and drag the raw material into the slot
  • Select the pure marble option in the menu
  • All stone is converted instantly

This method allows you to freely and quickly switch between regular and processed stone. It is worth considering a visual feature of simple marble bricks: when placing them, random cracks may periodically appear. This is not a game bug, but a design decision.

If you need perfectly smooth marble walls, follow these instructions:

  • Craft smooth marble bricks
  • Replace the regular blocks in your inventory
  • This material retains a seamless texture in any construction.
