We are pleased to announce that Valve has released an entirely new version of the performance monitoring tool for Steam. Previously, this version was only available in beta, but now absolutely all players can view FPS, frametime, memory usage, and other parameters in their video games.

So how can you actually reduce memory usage in Steam and enable frametime?

We have prepared a small step-by-step guide:

  1. Using the Tab + Shift key combination, open the in-game overlay.
  2. Go to the "Game" tab.
  3. On the screen, you will see the "Performance Monitoring in Overlay" field. There, you need to enable the parameters individually or select one of the suggested presets in the "Performance Data Detail" line.

To check the load on your graphics card, go to the "Performance Monitoring in Overlay" window, where all the necessary information will be described in detail.
