The player has found new settings for CS 2 that will boost your FPS. After conducting another round of tests, blogger hfcobra created a guide on how to gain +5% performance in Counter-Strike:

  • First, go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and navigate to "Manage 3D Settings"
  • Next, in "Program Settings," find CS 2 and enable Low Latency Mode
  • In CS2 launch options, enter the command -noreflex

Do not cap frames within the game itself, but set an FPS limit via NVIDIA. For example, if you have a 240 Hz monitor, set the FPS cap to 250, and follow a similar approach for other monitors.

These settings will not only increase FPS but also reduce input lag, the dreaded issue for many players. And if you’re interested in a free Steam account, we can guide you on where to get one—we even prepared an article on this topic!
