The new map and Thai aviation have finally been introduced in War Thunder
The long-awaited update "Thunder Front" for War Thunder by Gaijin Entertainment is finally here. The game features a new map with views of Greece, dozens of cool military vehicle models, the addition of Thai aviation, top 4.5 generation fighters - Typhoon and Rafale («Gale»), the Russian carrier-based fighter Su-33, the aircraft carrier «Admiral Kuznetsov», the modern German self-propelled howitzer Panzerhaubitze 2000, and the French light cruiser La Galissonnière. Previously, we talked about the War Thunder update featuring F-117.
Let’s dive deeper into some of the novelties.
- A highly advanced fighter capable of carrying up to 10 «air-to-air» missiles, including the AIM-9 Sidewinder and medium-range AIM-120 AMRAAM. Developed jointly by Germany, Italy, and the UK, it is also in service in Austria, Spain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Meet the Eurofighter Typhoon, one of the best aircraft in the game, ideal for both close and long-range air combat. It features an advanced CAPTOR radar and helmet-mounted targeting system.
- Rafale - a French-made fighter, the most advanced on the market. The Rafale F3-R modification, debuting in War Thunder, was adopted in 2018. This aircraft is in service in France, Greece, and Croatia. Thanks to MICA-EM missiles, it is highly effective in long-range combat. The AASM HAMMER precision weapon system is used for ground targets. Thai aviation has been added to the Japanese aviation lineup.
- The lightweight jet fighter F-5T SCU Tigris is new to War Thunder, equipped with «air-to-air» missiles Python 3.

- Panzerhaubitze 2000 is one of the most advanced and sophisticated self-propelled howitzers in the world. It can hit targets at distances of tens of kilometers thanks to its 155-mm shells and L52 gun, approximately 8 meters long, with a reload time of no more than 6 seconds. This monster can also reach speeds of up to 60 km/h, despite weighing 58 tons, allowing it to quickly change positions.
