In the game Battlefield 6, you must know how to use gas masks. To equip it, hold the X key on your keyboard or the Up button on your controller. The mask only activates in toxin zones and requires replaceable filters.
The toxic smoke cloud does not directly harm your character’s health, but it affects your psyche. You will start seeing strange visions and hearing voices, while the interface will display false information. This is similar to a mission in ARC Raiders (Throw snowballs at the Rocketeers).
The new interesting features in the next modes are:
- VL-7 Strike and VL-7 War
- RedSec Synthesis
- Altered State
This mask on the operator’s skin doesn’t play a role. The only important thing is the number of filters in the inventory, shown above the equipment icon. If you are in the center of the contaminated zone, you consume your air purification resource.
Key survival features in gas:
- One filter lasts about 1 minute
- Visibility inside the cloud decreases, forcing close combat
- Assault sniper rifles and carbines show better performance
- If the mask fails to equip, consider remapping the keys
If your air supply decreases, quickly look for a place to refill those filters. Without timely cartridge replacement, audiovisual distortions will make accurate aiming impossible.
