How to start the «Whisper» mission to obtain the sniper rifle

Since January 29, 2019, it has been available any day of the week, whereas previously, it was only accessible on weekends. First, you need to go to the drop zone "Lost Oasis" and try to find an open event. After you defeat three mini-bosses, a portal will appear. To enter the anomaly called «Whisper», you need to interact with this portal.

Our advice: Sometimes, the portal appears even without completing all conditions. If you encounter strange portals after another event, we recommend checking them.

Labyrinth walkthrough
You will find yourself in the lost sector «Grove of Ulan-Tan». After loading, you will have only 20 minutes to complete the mission:

1. Starting area. Moving to the right from the entrance, look for a cave at the top of the wall. If you don’t have exotic boots that simplify jumps, move through the sector to the chest, then go right past it.
2. Platforming sections. This mission requires complex jumps, so we recommend orienting yourself by the red lights, avoiding traps, and carefully watching the platforms. The most difficult parts of the mission are timed jumps and moving platforms with retractable blocks.


3. Final part of the labyrinth. At the end, you will enter a dark zone. Crouch and move forward until you reach the cylinder. From there, descend to the lower platform, then proceed through the rooms with enemies.
In the final stage, you will face four rooms with Taken enemies:

  • Eliminate all enemies, including elites.
  • The last room is an arena with bosses. Three Centurions will appear, accompanied by waves of mobs.

Use super abilities like "Arcstrider" or "Nightstalker". Heavy ammo and grenades are great for clearing mobs, and after defeating the bosses, you will obtain the "Whisper of the Worm".

How to get the catalyst?
The mission will appear after the first completion on the Io screen. This is already considered a harder version with tougher enemies, but it’s where you can obtain the catalyst.

  • Hidden chests. Chests are scattered throughout the location, and you need to collect them to gradually upgrade the catalyst.
  • Catalyst perks. After the upgrade is complete, "Box Breathing" will unlock – a perk that increases magazine size and range when aiming without shooting.
