To find the weapon, you need to go to the "Junkyard" location. This area is located north of the "Small Zone" near the "Cement Factory".
After you arrive at the correct zone, you need to find the new neutral base "Terrikon," located in the south of the area.
You need to find the weapon trader in this area and take the task “Bandit Lawlessness.” While completing the task, try to negotiate with the bandits to stop attacking stalkers, and find the PDA from one of the fallen near the last attack site.
Once you have the PDA, head immediately to the coordinates of another location and find the character "Docent." Listen to his story, and he will share the location of the weapon stockpile "Checkmate."
