WoW celebrates its 20th anniversary. In this article, we will tell you about the main WoW activities for their anniversary.
Event dates are announced from October 23, 2023, to January 7, 2025. Most activities will be available for characters from level 10 without requiring a subscription or The War Within expansion, which is great news. However, for some events, game time and the expansion will be needed.
The main location has been determined, and it is Tanaris, the Caverns of Time. Here, players will find various contests, quests, and vendors with unique items. You can also get a buff for experience and reputation for your alts.
The eternal question: "What to do?"
- A new currency has appeared — Bronze Dragon Triumph Tokens. This completely new currency can be exchanged for redesigned Tier 2 sets, mounts, pets, and cosmetic items. It’s like a reward for Blizzard veterans.
- Meta-achievement "Glorious 20 Years" — achievers of this series will be rewarded with the Blue Phoenix of Cold Flame.
- Time Travel in Classics — return to the original dungeons where you can earn Timeless Marks and exchange them for exclusive rewards.
- "Blackrock Depths" Raid — an updated version of the classic dungeon with 8 bosses and amazing items.
- Scenario "Chromie's Codex" — participate in recreating the opening of the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj with unexpected plot twists.
- World Bosses — fight old and new world bosses for epic loot.
- PvP — "Korrak's Revenge" brawl — the return of the iconic Alterac Valley with special rewards.
- Trading Post — buy faction banners from Warcraft III here.
Bronze Dragon Triumph Tokens — the main event currency. Earn them by completing daily and weekly quests. These tokens can be exchanged for updated armor sets, mounts, pets, and cosmetics. Time travel to Vanilla helps rekindle nostalgia by letting you run through six classic dungeons. Collect Timeless Marks and exchange them for unique items.
World Bosses for WoW's 20th Anniversary. Defeat bosses from past expansions to earn epic rewards. They’re scattered across Azeroth, and you’ll likely see raid groups forming in chat.
"Blackrock Depths" Raid. Try the updated raid featuring new bosses and powerful rewards. Blizzard plays on nostalgia again, but maybe it's for the best? How is Nefarian holding up in modern times?
Achievement "Glorious 20 Years" and the Phoenix.
Earn a unique mount, the Blue Phoenix of Cold Flame, by completing a meta-achievement consisting of eight tasks tied to the game's 20th anniversary.
Event "Working with Visitors" — a small event involving secret searches. To claim exclusive rewards, help celebrate by solving puzzles. For the anniversary, you’ll also receive a traditional buff for experience and reputation, speeding up the leveling of alts and factions. This time, it’s 20% — just like the years of the game! However, to get the full 20%, you need to complete a specific task available from level 10.
You’ll also have the opportunity to earn new titles for the occasion — purchase them from Notary Grable using Timeless Marks.
