Let's first figure out what Legendary Paths are. In Civilization 7, there are several Legendary Paths, each unique in its own way, and all of them are connected to a particular playstyle or game leader.

At each level-up you can receive:

  • A profile cosmetic badge
  • A title – an additional rank displayed in multiplayer matches
  • A banner – a decorative element for your game profile
  • A frame – stylized decoration for the player's icon
  • Background color – allows you to personalize your profile appearance
  • A souvenir – a unique bonus that can be used at the start of a new game

Leader Paths can also unlock special attribute nodes and exclusive policy cards, but this is available only for selected leaders.

Types of Legendary Paths

The Legend Paths system in Civilization 7 is divided into two main categories:
1. Foundation Legend Path
This is the largest and most versatile Path. It includes 265 challenges and spans 50 progress levels.

All challenges here relate to general game mechanics, such as research, warfare, economy, diplomacy, and wonder construction.

2. Leader Legacy Paths
These are unique Paths for each game leader, featuring challenges tied to the characteristics and strategies of specific leaders. Challenges in these paths unlock exclusive policy cards and attributes available only for that leader.

Rewards you can earn:

  1. Cosmetic rewards (Unique icons, titles, frames and banners, visual effects, and profile customization in multiplayer matches, along with many enjoyable bonuses to help you progress).
  2. Gameplay bonuses:
  • Souvenirs – transferable between games and give bonuses at the start (e.g. starting gold, unique units, or extra technologies)
  • Leader attribute nodes – improve leader stats and grant unique advantages

This also includes exclusive policy cards – powerful effects unavailable without progressing along a Legendary Path.

  1. Focus on one Path.
  2. Use the strengths of your leaders.
  3. Complete long campaigns.
  4. Try different playstyles.
  5. Track your achievements.
